MackSolo Team Update – Day 68 ✈️ 🌍
Mack took off from Socotra this morning and has now safely landed in #Muscat, #Oman 🇴🇲 where he was welcomed in style with a water salute. Yihaaaa he has reached the #Arabian Peninsula. For now, the very long sea legs come to an end. Well done Mack on this exhausting part of the journey!!!
With its candelabra looking Dragon trees, Socotra has been described as "the most alien-looking place on Earth" 👽 and, with nearly 700 endemic species found nowhere else on earth, is considered the jewel of #biodiversity in the #ArabianSea. It was recognised as a #UNESCO #WorldHeritageSite and Mack was given a little taster of it. Goats 🐐 and all!
As Mack is staying an extra day in Oman, he might have the time to discover some of its beauty too. Fingers crossed 🤞, but the warm welcome he has already received will only want him to come back for more. Thank you 🙏 to everyone making this epic trip possible and making Mack feel welcome wherever he lands.
