Did you know Mack and Zara Rutherford come from a long line of pilots👨✈️? Apart from the fact they literally flew in car seats with their parents as babies, on their mother's side, they are 4th generation pilots: their great-grandfather, grandfather, and mother were all flying.
On their dad's side, they are, in a way, 5th generation pilots, as their great-great-grandmother was one of the first South-African women to learn to fly. Unfortunately, she had to stop flying when she fell pregnant with her fourth child. Her son, Rae Thomas, also became a pilot and died as a war-hero pilot near Sri Lanka.
