MackSolo Team Update β Day 129 βοΈ π
Mack is in the air again, heading back up North!!! He seems to have put his Mexican Speedy Gonzales hat on now π€£.
Today he is leaving #Mexico (Gracias a todos y todas, especially the Colegio de Pilotos Aviadores de MΓ©xico-CPAM) and entering back into the #USA, via #Laredo, #Texas, then onwards to the Aliance Perot Airfield. Whilst waiting for footage to come in, let's have a look at the entirety of his route. A follower shared this insight:
"Believe it or not, but since the start, Mack covered some 41.100km (22.200Nm) from which approx. 21.300km (11.500Nm) over the seas!!!! - not coastal. That's a little bit more than 50%.π Mack is an Aquapilot now.....π At the finish line, it will not be a bottle of champagne, but a bottle of sparkling water.....π€£"
True, Mack picked a #route that involved a lot of water π
, but strangely enough, although water crossings clearly have their own risks and tend to scare most pilots, Mack is not too fazed by them. In his own words: "At least I know there is nothing to be hit" π .
We are very cautious, as Mack still has to do the Trans-Atlantic crossing, but the end is almost in sight now! If all goes according to plan, Mack might be landing in Sofia, Bulgaria π§π¬, home of his sponsor ICDSoft, in about 2 weeks. Fingers crossed everyone!!
